Professional Development Coordinator
Kristin Russell (she/her) is the Professional Development Coordinator in the DukeLIFE (Lower Income, First-generation Engagement) Office. Her role in DukeLIFE is to assist students with their professional development and career planning, facilitate the RISE internship program, and be a liaison with campus partners, Duke alumni, and employers to create opportunities for DukeLIFE students.
She has worked at Duke since 2015. Starting in 2019, she began working with Duke biomedical PhD students as their professional development and wellness coach doing 1:1 coaching along with developing and leading workshops and courses regarding professional development and career planning. Kristin has a National Board Certification in coaching and is a certified Clifton Strengths facilitator. She earned her undergraduate degree at Penn State and is currently enrolled at North Carolina State pursuing a M.Ed. degree.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, exploring thrift stores, doing creative projects, and cheering for Duke basketball.
