Experiential Education

The Office of Undergraduate Education’s Experiential Education offices and programs purposefully engage with learners through direct experiences at home and abroad. Through these immersive engagement opportunities, OUE fosters curiosity, challenges student perspectives, clarifies values, and expands self-awareness. OUE’s Experiential Education division also assists multiple units with risk mitigation and emergency management.
Supports international study abroad and U.S.-based study away programs for Duke students.
A semester-long program of four courses centered on a significant global challenge using a multidisciplinary approach.
A curated database of opportunities available to undergraduate students during the summer.
Students and Faculty collaborate with communities – locally and globally – to address critical social issues through an immersive summer community engagement.
